Joined Expression Genetics in July 2002. Dr. Anwer has a Ph.D. in Physiology/Pharmacology from Ohio University and post-doctoral training from the University of Texas Health Science Center, at Houston. Before joining Expression Genetics, Dr. Anwer was Director of Pre-Clinical Development at Valentis, Inc. From 1993 to 1999, he served in several positions at GeneMedicine, Inc. where he led several research projects in the area of non-viral gene therapy. He has authored more than 40 publications in the area of non-viral gene therapy resulting from his active career in research and development. Dr. Anwer has also taught in the Biology Department at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
